Privacy Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective July 10, 2026 · Keplr Labs LLC

UnMasked ("UnMasked," "we," "us") is a dating application built for and with the neurodivergent community. It is operated by Keplr Labs LLC ("the Company"). We care deeply about the privacy of a community that has often been failed by mainstream platforms. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we protect it, and the rights you have over it.

By creating an account you confirm you are 18 or older and agree to this policy and our Terms of Service.

1. Information we collect

You give us:

We collect automatically:

2. How we use your information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your private messages or profile to serve third-party advertising.

3. Sensitive data and explicit consent

Neurodivergence-related information (neurotypes, sensory needs, and similar details) may be considered special-category / sensitive personal data under laws such as the GDPR. We process it only with your explicit consent, which you give by choosing to add it and by using the per-field disclosure toggles that control who can see it. You can edit or remove this information, or hide it from your profile, at any time in the app. Withdrawing consent (by removing the data) does not affect processing that already occurred.

4. AI features

UnMasked offers optional AI assistance (help drafting your profile, decoding messages, suggesting replies, and flagging potential red flags). These features are off by default and only run when you enable them. When enabled, the relevant text is processed by a large-language-model service (Amazon Bedrock, running Anthropic's Claude models) acting as our data processor. This processing is used only to generate your requested assistance in real time; your content is not used to train the AI models. AI output is assistance, not advice or a decision — see the Terms.

5. Photos and automated moderation

Photos are stored privately (encrypted at rest in Amazon S3) and served only through short-lived, access-controlled links. To protect the community, uploaded photos are automatically screened for explicit content (via Amazon Rekognition), and profile text is screened for abusive content. Content that violates our rules may be blocked or removed. *(Note: automated screening detects explicit content; it is not, by itself, comprehensive known-CSAM detection — see our safety practices.)*

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Where your data lives

Data is stored and processed on AWS infrastructure in the United States (us-east-1). If you access UnMasked from outside the US, you consent to processing in the US, which may have different data-protection laws than your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

8. Retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account in the app at any time; deletion removes your profile, photos, swipes, matches, messages, blocks, and reports you filed from our active systems. Some records may be retained where required by law or for legitimate safety purposes (e.g., records of serious abuse reports).

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g., under GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to:

To exercise rights we can't yet fulfill in-app, contact us at support@keplrlabs.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

10. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest, private storage with signed access, per-user authorization on every request, and least-privilege access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.

11. Children

UnMasked is strictly for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn an account belongs to a minor, we will remove it.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new version with an updated effective date and, for material changes, notify you in-app.
